Amy and Chris created The Northern Dough Co when pizza parties at their Lancashire home became a great way of getting everyone together in the kitchen, making pizza, having fun and sharing great food. Baking was in the blood for Chris, with three generations of his family first founding then developing the family bakery business, supplying artisan bread to shops and restaurants across Lancashire spanning two centuries.
The pair met at university and realised early on they had a shared passion for all things food, and dreamed of starting a business together. In 2011, shortly after their wedding, they founded The Northern Dough Co with the aim of creating products to take the hassle out of making authentic pizza at home, and bring people together to share the fun of creating their favourite recipes together.

From the early days of food festivals, where friends and family pitched up to help create freshly baked samples, to their first farm shop and deli stockists, now to national supermarkets, the years have passed quickly with lots of success.
They still host pizza parties regularly, coming up with new and delicious ways to use their pizza dough, but they now share the fun with their young family, who love nothing more than getting their hands in the flour and splashing the tomato sauce around.
